Operation, Maintenance & Asset Management
Corks Energy will be the owner of the plant for the entire contract period before transferring to the offtaker. We will manage, operate and maintain the plant in accordance with industry regulations.
Brief Technical Specification
Is a proposed 420MW combined cycle thermal power plant to be located at Tema.
The technology comprises of a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) with an expected on-site capacity of about 420MW (ISO). It will consist of two (2) GE Frame 9E Gas Turbines (GTs) with two (2) Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSGs) & a Steam Turbine Generator (STG). The engines are tested in Sub-Saharan Africa and worldwide with very good track record.
The Frame 9E class technology is considered the most suitable & rugged technology because of its wide use and therefore easy availability of trained manpower as well as the presence of GE and other service providers in the country to support it operations.
